Statistical Methodology
Each SPPA survey in the combined file was conducted by the US Census Bureau as a supplement to an ongoing survey--The 1982, 1985 and 1992 SPPA were supplements to the National Crime Victimization survey (NCVS) while the 2002 and 2008 surveys were supplements to the Current Population Survey (CPS).
