Data.gov Evangelist Accepts Fed 100 Award

Last week, Data.gov Evangelist Jeanne Holm accepted the Federal 100 Award at a gala in Washington, D.C. FCW gives this annual award to 100 “people who are making things happen in government,” focusing particularly on their efforts over the past year.

“We genuinely believe individuals make a difference,” FCW explains. The force of individual management, leadership and dedication can drive important results, and the Federal 100 awards recognize women and men who demonstrate what a difference those efforts can produce.”

Calling her “Open data’s champion,” FCW’s judges chose Jeanne in part for her international recognition as a leader in open data and open government. “She is also the primary force behind the success of Data.gov’s online communities,” and they write, “Through her worldwide outreach efforts, she has exponentially increased Data.gov’s impact.”

Congratulations, Jeanne!
